Spiti Valley is a high altitude remote region located in the northeastern part of Himachal Pradesh. The average altitude of the valley is 12,500 ft resulting in one of the best atmospheric conditions for stargazing. The Spiti River runs through the valley with snow-caps on each side. Its breathtaking landscapes and rich culture characterized by barren mountains makes it an ideal place with minimum light pollution.

Day 1: Chandigarh to Manali
The group assembles at the pick-up point between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. Following this, we will head towards Manali. It is a 7-8 hour journey. Check in at the hotel/homestay for a complete day of acclimatization and leisure. The temperature at Manali will be between 5°C & 10°C.
Day 2: Manali to Kaza Via Atal Tunnel | Overnight Stay in Kaza
Wake up, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and check out from the hotel. Begin your scenic drive towards Spiti Valley, embarking on a journey like no other. Cross over into Lahaul via the iconic Atal Tunnel, a marvel of modern engineering. Watch the landscape dramatically shift from lush green valleys to the stark, beautiful arid deserts of the high Himalayas. En route, drive past Kunzum La (14,931 ft), a high-altitude mountain pass that marks your official entry into Spiti — the gateway to another world.
Make a stop at the Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia, offering spectacular views and a perfect photo opportunity. Reach Kaza, the heart of Spiti, by evening.
Day 3: Kaza Sightseeing: – Hikkim – Komic Village – Langza – Key Monastery (Stargazing Night at Kaza)
After breakfast, our second day at Kaza will be spent sightseeing

Key Monastery – The largest monastery in Spiti and a renowned religious training center for Lamas.

Hikkim – Visit the world’s highest post office and send a postcard to your loved ones from this unique location.

Komik – Dine at the world’s highest café while soaking in breathtaking views.

Langza – Marvel at the giant statue of the Buddha set against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas
We will end the day with a stargazing session near our Homestay to experience the Bortle 1 sky
Day 4: Kaza – Chandrataal Lake ( Stargazing and Mobile Astrophotography Session)
Wake up, have breakfast, and check out of your stay in Kaza. Begin your journey toward the mesmerizing Chandra Taal Lake. Stop for lunch at Losar, the last inhabited village of Spiti Valley, offering stunning views and local flavors. Enjoy sightseeing halts at Kibber – one of the highest motorable villages in the world – and the picturesque Kunzum Pass. Arrive at Chandra Taal (Moon Lake) by evening and check into the lakeside camps.
As night falls, enjoy a warm dinner and spend the night under a sky filled with billions of stars and the glowing arc of the Milky Way — a truly magical experience.
Day 5: Chandrataal to Manali
Enjoy a scenic drive from Chandratal Lake towards Manali during the day. We’ll take a quick stop at Batal for a cup of tea. From there, we will continue driving on the Kaza–Manali highway. We will stay overnight at a hotel in Manali.
Day 6: Manali – Chandigarh
On the final day, we will leave Manali for a 7–8-hour drive to Chandigarh. We will reach Chandigarh in the evening with lots of amazing memories to remember for a lifetime! concluding the memorable trip to the enchanting Spiti Valley.

1.I do not have any prior stargazing experience. Can I still join?
Yes! This tour is aimed at bringing astronomy to those who are interested. Our experts and professionals will be present to guide you through the wonders of stargazing and astronomy.
2. What are the age criteria for this tour?
People from any age group are welcome. There are no specific age criteria for this tour; however, it should be noted that as we move to high-altitude regions, the air pressure decreases. Hence, it is imperative to consult a medical heart or breathing-related issues before you register for the tour.
3. Who can be a part of this tour?
All who believe they have an interest in astronomy, stargazing, and traveling are welcome to be a part of this tour. Please note that there will be long drives as per the itinerary to high altitude, low-pressure places. Kindly consult a medical professional to ensure your fitness for the same.
4. Will this tour require a lot of fitness activity?
No, all the locations will be accessible by transport. However, some amount of walking towards a remote stargazing location may be required. Other than that, one should be fit enough to endure the high-altitude climate of Spiti.
