The average altitude of the valley is 12,500 ft resulting in one of the best atmospheric conditions for stargazing. The Spiti River runs through the valley with snow-caps on each side. Its breathtaking landscapes and rich culture characterized by barren mountains makes it an ideal place with minimum light pollution.
