About Lonar

Lonar, a national tourist spot in Maharashtra is a host to many heritage monuments although it has one striking feature- the Lonar Lake. The history behind the formation of the lake is owed to the rocky bodies floating around in space. In the Pleistocene Epoch, when the entire surface of our planet was covered by ice caps and glaciers, a meteor came whizzing down on Earth, leaving behind a huge crater. The age of the lake remains unknown, however, it was initially estimated to be around 52,000 years old. But in 2010, it was said to be 5,70,000 years old. The discrepancy remains.

The place is also endowed with ancient stories and temples built around 1250 years ago

ITINERARY

Pick up Point: Thane.

Fri. 27th October 2023 :

3 PM – Majiwada, Thane
7 PM – Dinner near Nashik
8 PM – Head Towards the Lonar (around 7 hrs Journey).

Sat. 28th October :

3 AM – Reach Lonar Guest House, Room allotment on sharing basis (3 persons/room)
6 AM to 9 AM – Freshen up, Tea & Breakfast
9 AM to 10 AM – Overview of various aspects of Lonar
10 AM to 2 PM – Explore the Lonar Crater, Ancient Temples around the Lake with an Expert. Doing some Scientific Experiments around Crater.
2 PM – Lunch at Hotel
2 PM to 3 PM – Rest
3 PM to 6 PM – Explore other Ancient Temples Like Daitya Sudan Temple, and Motha Maruti Temple.
6:30 PM – Tea & Snacks
7 PM to 9 PM – Stargazing at Lonar ( Depending upon the weather condition and Moon phase)
9 PM to 10 PM – Dinner
11 PM – Sleeping Time at Guest House

Sun. 29th October 2023:

5 AM – Wake up Call, Freshen up.
6:30 AM to 7:15 AM – Morning Tea and Breakfast
7:30 AM – Head towards the Aurangabad
11:30 AM to 1:00 PM – if time permits we’ll Sindkhed Raja
1 PM to 2 PM – Lunch
2 PM – Leave for Mumbai.
9 PM – Reach Thane

The above itinerary is tentative and may change as per the prevailing weather conditions.

Kindly note that we need to go down around 500 feet to explore Lonar Crater. People with high blood pressure, and asthma should consult with a doctor before joining this tour.

CANCELLATION &REFUND POLICY

If Event cancellation is done by the participant prior to 25 days of the Last date of registration 95% of the total price will be refunded.
If Event cancellation is done by the participant prior to 20 days of the Last date of registration 75% of the total price will be refunded.
If Event cancellation is done by the participant prior to 15 days of Last date of registration 50% of the total price will be refunded.
After that, no refund will be provided on Event cancellation done by participants, irrespective even if you’ve booked within the last 10 days.
Tour Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
If the tour gets canceled we will refund the Tour amount only.

Participant need to install the Arogya Setu app
Avoid speaking with the general population and maintain distance to keep yourself safe in these difficult times.
Keep the conversation with unknown people to a minimum and maintain a distance of more than 6 feet while talking.
