About Lonar

Lonar, a national tourist spot in Maharashtra is a host to many heritage monuments although it has one striking feature- the Lonar Lake. The history behind the formation of the lake is owed to the rocky bodies floating around in space. In the Pleistocene Epoch, when the entire surface of our planet was covered by ice caps and glaciers, a meteor came whizzing down on Earth, leaving behind a huge crater. The age of the lake remains unknown, however, it was initially estimated to be around 52,000 years old. But in 2010, it was said to be 5,70,000 years old. The discrepancy remains.

The place is also endowed with ancient stories and temples built around 1250 years ago

ITINERARY

Pick up Point: Thane.

Fri. 31st October 2025 :

3:00 PM – Majiwada, Thane
7 PM – Dinner near Nashik
8 PM – Head towards the Lonar (around 5 hrs’ Journey).

Sat. 1st November 2025 :

1 AM – Reach Lonar Guest House, Room allotment on a sharing basis (3 persons/room)
6 AM to 9 AM – Freshen up, Tea & Breakfast
9 AM to 10 AM – Overview of various aspects of Lonar
10 AM to 2 PM—Explore the Lonar Crater and ancient Temples around the Lake with an Expert. Do some scientific experiments around the Crater.
2 PM – Lunch at Hotel
2 PM to 3 PM – Rest
3 PM to 6 PM – Explore other Ancient Temples, Like Daitya Sudan Temple, and Motha Maruti Temple.
6:30 PM – Tea & Snacks
7 PM to 9 PM – Stargazing at Lonar ( Depending upon the weather conditions and Moon phase)
9 PM to 10 PM – Dinner
11 PM – Sleeping Time at Guest House

Sun. 2nd November 2025:

5 AM – Wake-up Call, Freshen up.
6:30 AM – 7:15 AM – Morning Tea and Breakfast
7:30 AM – Head towards Sambhajinagar
11:30 AM to 1:00 PM – if time permits, we’ll Sindkhed Raja (Optional)
1 PM to 2 PM – Lunch
2 PM – Leave for Mumbai.
7 PM – Reach Thane

The above itinerary is tentative and may change depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

Please note that we need to descend around 500 feet to explore Lonar Crater. People with high blood pressure and asthma should consult with a doctor before joining this tour.

CANCELLATION &REFUND POLICY

If Event cancellation is done by the participant before 25 days of the Last date of registration 95% of the total price will be refunded.
If Event cancellation is done by the participant before 20 days of the Last day of registration 80 % of the total price will be refunded.
If Event cancellation is done by the participant before 15 days of the Last date of registration 60% of the total price will be refunded.
After that, no refund will be provided on Event cancellations made by participants, irrespective even if you’ve booked within the last 15 day.
Tour Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
If the tour gets canceled, we will refund the Tour amount only.
