This is a unique group that regularly conducts star gazing sessions at Mahuli. It’s unique because it has been founded by very enthusiastic youngsters who are passionate about astronomy as a subject. They have evolved over the years in terms of arranging the star gazing events in a systematic way. With Mr. Arvind Paranjpye as their mentor, I suppose there’s nothing more that can be said. Astronomy can be quite a daunting task as the heavenly bodies in space are light years away from us! So when the grade 6 students studied about the Final Frontier, we at DBIS, contacted Stargazers Mumbai, to conduct a session on stargazing for our students. A team of four experts Pooja Tolia, Sandip Shelar, Emma Chokar and Harsh Bhatt came from Mahuli with sophisticated telescopes to present our students with a starry evening.
